Job summary

The UPS Store, Inc. in Fresno, CA is seeking a Center Sales Associate to deliver world-class customer service by receiving and processing packages, and by operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. This is a sales role with daily and monthly goals in a franchise location.

Open availability is recommended, including weekends. You will meet with the center manager to complete the application in store if selected, and training will cover all

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Retail or customer service experience.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Able to cross-sell and up-sell products and services.
• Excellent packing skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
• Outstanding phone skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including spelling and math.
• Prompt, reliable, and responsible.
• Able to lift 40+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
• Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions.
• Learns all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
• Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience.
• Manages the logistics of small to medium projects, follows through to completion, and updates all parties as needed.
• Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents.
