Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a sales associate to deliver outstanding customer service and promote store promotions. You will assist customers, maintain organized product displays, and stay informed about current promotions and policies.

You will also handle POS transactions, participate in inventories, and help with receiving merchandise while upholding store standards and loss-prevention principles.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal with customers and coworkers.
• Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty footwear.
• Knowledge of store policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising and store presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and stock organization.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping/receiving.
• Process all sales at the POS in accordance with policy; ensure shoes are mates.
