Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and support store operations. You will help customers, promote promotions, and keeps sales floor and stock neatly presented.

Ideal candidates have retail experience, basic math and communication skills, and a familiarity with store policies. The role includes assisting with inventories and POS transactions, while maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and with all levels of employees.
• Basic communication (both verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of the Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for our customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping and receiving merchandise.
• Process all sales and POS transactions in accordance with policy, ensuring shoes are paired.
• Support cashier functions and adhere to existing policy and procedures.
