The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager in Colonial Heights, VA to lead a high-performing store team and drive sales while delivering an engaging customer experience.

You will coach staff on SOPs, loyalty programs, and service standards, ensuring smooth front-end and service operations in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates bring 3+ years of retail leadership, strengthen POS/Self-Checkout usage, and oversee programs from events to omni-channel fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs such as Birthday parties, Loyalty Rewards, and Protect/Extend services.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experiences.
• Support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for timely order fulfillment.
