Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a FT Sales Manager at our Madison, AL store. You will lead a high-performing team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and drive sales results through coaching, SOP adherence, and strong operational execution.

You will manage front-end operations, loyalty programs, and omni-channel services, while training staff and maintaining asset protection standards to reduce shrink. Night/weekend shifts are required as part of typical store leadership duties.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull merchandise up to 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, ensure floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Oversee front-end operations, POS usage, and Self-Checkout processes for smooth transactions.
• Drive in-store programs (Loyalty Rewards, protection plans) and omni‑channel services (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Train and develop team members; support Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
