Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a Sales Manager for the Apple Valley, MN area to lead front-end and service operations, drive sales and customer satisfaction, and coach a high-performing team. The role focuses on executing SOPs, managing POS/Self-Checkout, and delivering a seamless omni-channel experience including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

The position requires 3+ years of retail leadership, ability to stand long hours, and to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Experience coaching teams to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and drive key sales and service KPIs.
• Coach team on Customer Experience and selling behaviors.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure effective use of POS and Self-Checkout systems.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloons, Loyalty, MCC/Extend) and omni-channel services (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Support asset protection and loss prevention initiatives.
