Job summary

The Michael's Companies seeks a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing store team in San Jose, CA. You will drive sales, coach staff on a superior customer experience, and ensure consistent POS/Self-Checkout execution while managing special events and in-store programs.

You will partner with Store leadership to hit KPIs, oversee omnichannel services, and foster a compliant, engaging shopping environment for customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to lead front-end and service operations to meet KPIs.
• Experience coaching teams on customer experience and selling behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in enforcing SOPs and company programs.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee balloons, birthday party operations, and in-store events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and visits.
• Drive omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Support Custom Framing operations where applicable.
