Job summary

The Michaels Companies is hiring a Sales Manager for our Jacksonville store. You will lead front-end and service operations, drive sales KPIs, coach the team, and ensure brand standards and SOPs are followed to deliver an engaging customer experience.

You will manage Manager-on-Duty coverage, use POS and Self-Checkout systems, oversee in-store programs and events, enroll customers in Loyalty Rewards, and support omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience
• Strong customer service and coaching skills
• Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs
• Ensure policy execution and store condition compliance
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations and customer support
• Oversee events and programs (e.g., in-store, balloons, loyalty)
• Drive omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery
• Train, coach, and develop team members with structured onboarding
• Support asset protection and shrink reduction
