Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager in Canton, MI to lead a high-performing selling culture and drive strong sales while delivering an engaging customer experience.

You will oversee front-end operations, POS usage, and customer service standards, supporting events and loyalty programs, with a focus on omnichannel fulfillment. Responsibilities include coaching staff, ensuring SOP compliance, and managing day-to-day operations and store conditions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Coach and model customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train, coach, and develop team members across assigned departments.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
