Job summary

The Salvation Army in Poway, CA is seeking a part-time Sales Lead to oversee daily store operations and provide outstanding customer service. You will coordinate with the Store Manager, manage cash handling and inventory, and mentor beneficiaries in related programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year previous retail experience; Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role with Store Manager in daily store operations (opening/closing, POS, inventory, donations).
• Manages day-to-day store operations in absence of Store/Assistant Manager; discuss concerns with District Sales Manager.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive store sales and profitability as budgeted.
• Schedule store employees for coverage; conduct daily team meetings; provide coaching and development.
• Ensure customer and donor satisfaction and maintain strong community relations.
• Support Back Room Processing to meet daily processing goals.
• Supervise Beneficiaries under Work Therapy Assignments as applicable.
• Protect store currency, inventory and property; manage deposits and security.
• Ensure building security during non-operating hours and alarm systems.
• Enforce ARC safety policies and report incidents; lead weekly store meetings.
