Job summary

Michaels in Downey, CA is seeking store team members to assist customers, stock shelves, and process purchases with a focus on friendly service. You will participate in BOPIS/SFS, POS transactions, and merchandising tasks to ensure the store is well-stocked and welcoming.

The role supports Rewards enrollments, VOC surveys, and adherence to SOPs, with opportunities to learn framing sales as needed. Evening/weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform stocking tasks.
• Willingness to learn framing sales and production as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout and cash handling to standards.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC surveys and store feedback.
• Support BOPIS and SFS Omni-channel processes.
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram setup.
• Maintain merchandise, handle returns, and keep shelves in stock.
• Assist with In Stock Optimization and shrink/safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; model positive behavior.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
