Job summary

Michaels is seeking outgoing, friendly associates for its Portland, OR store to assist customers on the sales floor and at checkout. Early morning unloading and merchandising duties are included, with lifting up to 30lbs.

You will help customers find items, cut fabric, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience. Roles include unloading trucks, stocking, and maintaining planograms; engaging customers with Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, and supporting omni-channel processes like

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; handle cash to standards
• Encourage Rewards program enrollments and VOC survey participation
• Assist with BOPIS and Ship From Store processes
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram updates
• Maintain store recovery and in-stock levels to support brand goals
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Promote a positive image and act as a role model for team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
