Job summary

New Balance seeks motivated Retail Sales Associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences at our Oakbrook Center store. You will use product knowledge and the GUEST service model to assist shoppers through every step of the purchase, from greeting to closing the sale.

Candidates should enjoy teamwork, have strong communication skills, and be comfortable with cash handling. Flexible weekend hours and a positive, customer-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Should be a people person.
• Past retail experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move items as described (up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques and the GUEST service model.
• Correctly measure and fit customers with NB product.
• Inform customers about promotions and specials.
• Keep the floor neat, organized, and well stocked.
• Ensure items are labeled and priced accurately.
• Protect products by monitoring floor merchandise and reporting shrinkage.
• Follow safety regulations and report accidents or near misses.
