Job summary

New Balance is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for Oakbrook Center, IL. This role supports the Store Manager in driving sales, executing store operations, and leading a team committed to the brand’s values of integrity, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.

You will help hire, train, and develop staff, coordinate schedules, and step in for the Store Manager when needed. Expect a dynamic retail environment with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ retail experience (extra may be required in high-volume stores).
• Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, budgeting, and loss prevention.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and be part of a team.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a “Total Customer Satisfaction” culture.
• Help Store Manager hit financial marks and operational objectives.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and District Manager to execute strategic sales plans.
• Coach and develop staff; their success = your success.
• Coordinate volunteer opportunities to build our brand within the communities we serve.
• Assist with processing payroll and writing schedules for store associates.
• Step up to lead the team when Store Manager is unavailable.
