Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our outpatient pharmacy team. You will support the discharge prescription program, assist pharmacists with medication preparation, and interact with patients and clinicians to ensure accurate processing.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior retail pharmacy experience, and an active Michigan Pharmacy Tech license. Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year as a retail pharmacy technician.
• Licensure: Active Pharmacy Tech license through the State of Michigan.
• Certification: Pharmacy Tech certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and collect patient information to process prescriptions.
• Process and fill prescriptions and generate labels and documents.
• Repackage medications and prepare documentation.
• Operate pharmacy software, automation, cash register, and related equipment.
• Process billing with third-party carriers and perform data entry.
• Maintain accounts, records and regulatory documentation as required.
• Communicate with patients and health system staff to resolve issues.
• Support discharge prescription program and collaborate with pharmacists.
