Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician on a part-time basis to support the Towers Outpatient pharmacy. The role involves processing prescriptions, assisting in discharge programs, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The technician will operate pharmacy software, handle insurance billing, and collaborate with pharmacists to ensure safe, timely medication distribution.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a retail pharmacy technician.
• Active Pharmacy Tech license through the State of Michigan.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and Health System personnel and compiles necessary patient information for prescription processing.
• Processes and fills prescriptions and medication orders with accurate labeling and documentation.
• Selects and repackages medications and prepares repackaging documentation.
• Operates and maintains pharmacy software and equipment.
• Reviews billing procedures including third-party insurance and SJMH-related groups.
