Job summary

Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the team at Inova Stonecroft, Chantilly, VA. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday with days/evenings rotating shifts; weekends occasionally. High School diploma or GED required, VA tech license or intern license, and BLS within 3 months.

Qualifications

Two years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience.
Registered Pharmacy Technician in Virginia or Pharmacy intern license.
BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing medications and supplies.
Clean equipment and maintain all required temperature logs per policy.
Check medication/inventory for out-of-date products and record in Expiring Medication log book.
Enter prescription information into computer systems: patient/prescriber lookup, drug selection, entry, insurance claims.
