Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital, part of Inova Health System, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, Mon–Fri schedule with rotating days/evenings and every 3rd weekend. You will maintain stock, pre-pack medications, and assist the pharmacist in dispensing duties.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, VA Pharmacy Technician or intern license, BLS within 3 months, and about 1 year of experience. Inova offers strong benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Education: High School or GED is required.
Certification: VA Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy intern license; BLS within 3 months of hire.
Experience: 1 year as Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications, and uses inventory management procedures.
Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose picks, first doses and floor stock.
Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.
