Job summary

Mercyhealth in Illinois seeks a Pharmacy Leader to drive a high-performing retail pharmacy operation focused on patient care, service excellence, and operational effectiveness. You will empower staff, oversee financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and explore new business opportunities.

You will lead interviews, hiring, evaluations, and ongoing education for technicians and cashiers, while coordinating with hospital pharmacy as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Minimum of 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Organizes retail pharmacy activities to ensure quality service.
• Interviewing, hiring, orientation schedules, discipline and counseling of technical staff.
• Works with Lead Pharmacist on annual evaluations of technicians and cashiers.
• Encourages ongoing education and tracks said for all staff.
• Compiles daily financial data for monthly reporting to accounting and monitors financial performance.
• Responsible for departmental fiscal planning, purchasing of supplies, and budgeting.
• Responsible for implementation of new retail pharmacy startups and business expansion, as necessary.
• Development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance with lead pharmacists.
• Works to assure customer satisfaction and provides service recovery when necessary.
• Schedules regular department meetings and completes all appropriate reports in a timely manner.
• Coordinates with hospital pharmacy as appropriate.
