Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I track, beginning with a 4–8 week onboarding program including rotations in operations and Sales & Service. The role focuses on identifying customer financial needs and building relationships through consultative sales, lobby leadership, and cross-selling within a financial center or Bank Mart environment.

Successful candidates will complete a certification demonstrating readiness to perform in the Retail Personal Banker job

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills or combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire customers and cross-sell.
• Must understand advanced math functions for credit/financial analysis.
• Represent Fifth Third Bank professionally in appearance and communications.
• Knowledge of Retail policies and procedures and good judgment.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at employment via NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers for periodic financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Coordinate with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, and Investment partners to provide holistic solutions.
• Meet or exceed customer experience and production goals; drive revenue growth.
• Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Answer customer questions and own issues to resolution.
• Follow Code of Conduct and ethics and company policies.
