Job summary

Fifth Third Bank’s Retail Personal Banker I program recruits candidates to become Personal Bankers after a 4-8 week onboarding with rotations in operations and Sales & Service. The role emphasizes consultative selling to identify customer needs and deepen relationships while handling teller duties.

Selected candidates will engage with partners across Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new customers and cross-sell to existing customers.
• Ability to analyze credit and financial information using advanced math functions.
• Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication.
• Understanding Retail policies and procedures to exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative selling to build customer profiles and identify current and future financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend suitable solutions.
• Reach out to customers using approved tools to schedule periodic financial reviews.
• Primarily cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities as directed.
• Collaborate with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment partners to provide holistic financial solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and support revenue growth.
• Assist CSRs with sales and referral processes and maintain customer confidentiality.
