Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support our retail stores by assisting wholesale and retail customers, answering product questions, and recommending solutions. You will help maintain store standards, process transactions, and work toward sales goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50–70 lbs, flexibility to work evenings/weekends, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• For internal Sherwin-Williams candidates, a “meets expectations” rating on the latest performance appraisal is required.
• For internal Sherwin-Williams candidates, completion of HR Cloud eLearning courses for the current position is required.
• High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load/unload delivery trucks.
• Assist in making deliveries, as needed.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
