Job summary

REI Co-op in Happy Valley, Oregon, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join the Store Management Team. You will open and close the store, supervise daily tasks, and partner with the Store Manager on operational and administrative duties to deliver a great customer experience.

The role requires flexible hours, leadership to coach staff, and a focus on profitability through engaged employees and outstanding service.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of successful retail experience (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to motivate, direct and coach teammates.
• Focus on driving store profitability through employee engagement and customer experience.
• Strong commitment to excellent customer service and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store.
• Train and support operations and sales staff.
• Provide daily direction, supervision and coaching to sales staff.
• Ensure the store is ready for customers by communicating restocking needs and executing visual direction.
• Identify training opportunities and partner with Store Manager to implement strategy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
