Job summary

REI Co-op is seeking a Sr. Operations Specialist to guide the store to operational excellence and support the management team with daily office duties.

This role acts as the store’s versatile “Swiss Army Knife,” sharing knowledge, making recommendations, and engaging customers every day while embodying REI’s culture and brand. You’ll help create better outdoor experiences by solving problems, coordinating HR tasks, and contributing to a collaborative team focused on the outdoors and community.

Qualifications

• Retail or office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Open to feedback and diverse viewpoints while supporting the business.
• Uses business understanding, innovative thinking and good judgment to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile operational business expenses.
• Mentor and support operations and sales staff as needed.
• Manage office supply inventory within budget.
• Assist with hiring and HR documentation; maintain store files.
• Coordinate Safety Committee, Product Quality issues and Loss Prevention.
• Support store management and daily office duties.
• Additional duties as assigned.
