Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for its busy Scotchman convenience store in Wilmington, NC. You will support the Store Manager, run the register, lead a team, and help ensure top customer service while maintaining store operations on second or third shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Open Availability: weekends, holidays and likely second/third shifts.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license, access to vehicle and proof of insurance for deposits.
• Physical readiness for cleaning, trash removal and outside areas like pumps.
• Minimum age 21+.
• Proficient in English with basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a great attitude.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service and store success.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store incl. restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate your team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned
