Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Operations Lead in Wisconsin to drive in-store excellence across merchandising, inventory, pet care, and daily store opening/closing. You will coach sales associates, supervise tasks, analyze sales trends, and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment for pets and their parents.

Requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, full-time availability including evenings/weekends/holidays, and strong communication.

Qualifications

2+ years of retail supervisory experience.
Full-time availability required; evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

People Leadership: Guide sales associates, train on product knowledge and presentation standards.
Delegate and validate completion of daily tasks; lead when on duty; address complaints and celebrate engagement.
Store Operations: Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory, audits, and stock replenishment decisions.
Operate POS systems, handle cash, ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
Maintain store standards, ensure policy/code of ethics compliance, open/close procedures, and accurate live cycle counts.
Ensure pet care, cleanliness, and safety; manage online order pickups and ship-from-store; coordinate with vets if needed.
