Job summary

PetSmart, Inc. is seeking a Retail Operations Lead to drive store excellence, merchandising, inventory control, and pet care operations. You will lead and mentor associates, support opening/closing, and ensure a safe, welcoming store environment.

You'll oversee POS transactions, inventory audits, and promotions while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with policies. This role requires full-time availability, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and stay organized.
• Attention to detail and visually appealing store presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide people leadership and training to sales associates.
• Support associate development, onboarding, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Oversee daily tasks and acts as leader on duty when required.
• Lead store operations including merchandising, inventory, and checkout.
• Maintain store standards and ensure compliance with policies and ethics.
• Manage opening/closing procedures and month-end cycle counts.
• Ensure pet care quality and safety, including online order pickup and ship-from-store.
