Job summary

PetSmart’s Retail Operations Lead drives operational excellence in our stores, overseeing merchandising, inventory, pet care operations, and daily store duties. You will guide associates, manage opening/closing, and uphold safety and store standards while delivering a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in store layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide associates in merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
• Oversee store opening and closing activities; ensure store standards and code of ethics.
• Manage POS operations, cash handling, and daily tasks delegation.
• Support associate development through training, onboarding, coaching, and feedback.
• Ensure pet care standards and safety of pets and customers.
