Job summary

PetSmart operates a Team-first retail environment and seeks a Process Lead to drive store execution, merchandising, inventory management, and pet care operations. The role includes opening/closing duties, supervising associates, and maintaining a safe, organized store that delivers a top-notch customer experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability; evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct associates when acting as leader on duty; address complaints and provide feedback.
• Execute merchandise strategies to optimize sales, product placement, displays, and promotions.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and analyze trends for stock replenishment and markdowns.
• Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions per company policies.
• Maintain store standards and empower staff while ensuring adherence to Policies/Procedures and Code of Ethics.
• Share responsibility for opening and closing procedures and monthly live cycle counts.
• Ensure pet care standards, cleanliness, feeding, and safe handling of pets; support online order pickup/ship from store.
• Support associate and customer experience and uphold brand promises in all interactions.
