Job summary

SSA Group is seeking an Assistant Retail Operations Manager to oversee Gift Shop and Gift Kiosk locations. The role reports to the Retail Operations Manager and focuses on driving sales, staff development, and policy compliance across multiple units in the Pittsburgh area.

You will lead recruitment, training, and performance management, while ensuring inventory accuracy, cash handling, and POS reliability. The position requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Two to three years retail management experience preferred.
• Visual merchandising experience necessary.
• All education backgrounds eligible; must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Show dynamic leadership ability and motivate staff to exceed customer and client expectations.
• Hire, recruit and integrate new team members; supervise, evaluate, coach and manage exits.
• Develop training programs to train and mentor employees.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
• Ensure merchandise presentation standards are met to maximize sales.
• Forecast daily/weekly sales and manage payroll within budget.
• Oversee inventory control programs and communicate inventory opportunities.
