Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist manager with merchandise and buying operations; attend major trade shows, year-end inventory, and meetings with sales reps to stay updated on trends and seasonal needs.
• Assist manager with building customer awareness through promotions and marketing tools to drive sales development.
• Assist manager with forecasting and managing gift shop costs, revenues and department expenses; help maintain budget standards for cost efficacy.
• Guide staff in performance of duties; ensure service standards, staff coverage, and training/mentoring.
• Assist with managing and maintaining an operational Point of Sale system, including troubleshooting.
• Manage fundraising events and work with external vendors for sales events and sponsorships.
• Implement special projects for the Auxiliary Gift Shop Committee and attend committee meetings.
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
