Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is required.
• Five years of experience in retail including buying and inventory control.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to operate a computer, cash register and charge machine.

Responsibilities

• Orient and train staff to ensure high level of customer service, POS system, paperwork, and daily procedures.
• Follow and enforce policies and procedures within department regarding cash control, daily deposits, and banking.
• Oversee 5 campus gift shops, part-time and volunteer staff, and contribute to evaluations.
• Schedule and contribute toward implementing new procedures, new products and extended hour holiday sales.
• Assist in ordering and buying merchandise for all shops, display merchandise, pricing, sorting and transporting items.
• Identify opportunities for sales and promotions and implement marketing mechanisms.
• Communicate with vendors as needed.
• Experience in retail and customer service is required.
• Order and/or select flowers as needed.
• Transport to Southgate to arrange vases and prices.
• Process end-of-day paperwork and deposits from each shop.
