Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Operations Lead to drive store execution, merchandising, inventory management, and pet-care operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will uphold our values, focus on teamwork, and lead by example to deliver a superior pet-parent experience.

You’ll open and close the store, supervise associates, coach performance, and ensure accuracy in POS, cash handling, and inventory.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide sales associates in merchandise handling, providing training on product knowledge and presentation standards.
• Delegate and validate completion of daily tasks; act as leader on duty when required.
• Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory levels, and oversee POS operations and cash handling.
• Maintain store standards and adherence to Policies and Procedures (P&Ps) and Code of Ethics.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and pet-friendly store environment and exceptional pet-parent experiences.
