Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Operations Lead to drive store operational excellence, merchandising, and inventory management while upholding the company’s values and strategy. The role includes overseeing associates, opening/closing duties, and maintaining a safe, organized environment.

You will lead merchandising efforts, manage stock levels, run floor displays, handle POS transactions, and ensure pets in our care are healthy and cared for.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience.
• Full-time availability, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support sales associates in merchandise handling and presentation.
• Oversee store operations, inventory audits, and stock replenishment.
• Operate POS systems and ensure cash handling accuracy.
• Open/close the store and supervise associates during shifts.
• Ensure pet care standards and safe, clean store environment.
