Job summary

Northern Tool + Equipment is seeking a Retail Operations Team Lead to greet customers, manage in-stock merchandise, and keep the sales floor tidy. You will promote the Northern Tool credit card and sell protection plans while supporting daily store operations.

Open availability with early shifts is preferred; you will mentor staff, handle merchandising, and assist leadership as Floor Leader and during opening/closing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail experience.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor store employees.
• Willing to work mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Interest in tools and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional service to best serve the needs of our customers.
• Lead and execute key operational functions to ensure store efficiency, inventory accuracy, and overall store readiness.
• Maintain a neat and orderly store environment including merchandising, planograms, displays and stocking shelves.
• Lead by example, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Support store leadership by serving as Floor Leader (about 25% of time) and opening/closing the store.
