Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Louisville to oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, support merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and ensure shelves and displays remain high-quality and compliant with promotions.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs; experience in retail management is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures; process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise.
• Support loss prevention, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; ensure a clean, well-stocked store and neat stockroom.
