Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Louisville, KY. You will help with daily functions, motivate associates, and ensure a clean, organized store environment.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in retail management or a similar setting. This position offers part-time schedule with potential growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, and climbing as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
