Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day operations, elevate customer service, and develop store teams at our Louisville location. You will assist with merchandise organization, staffing, and ensure compliance with company policies.

In this role you’ll oversee opening/closing tasks, supervise store associates, and help maintain clean, well-stocked sales floors while protecting assets and controlling loss.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store activity communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits) and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, organized store floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including restrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
