Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring an Assistant Store Manager of Operations to lead store execution in a fast-paced retail environment, driving efficiency, accuracy, and an exceptional athlete experience. You will coach and develop teammates, optimize processes, and ensure the store runs smoothly front and back-of-house.

You will partner with the Store Manager to manage workforce planning, payroll, and scheduling, while upholding safety, policy compliance, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1-3 years experience in retail or related field.
• 1-3 years of retail management experience (or customer-focused experience).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Store Manager to develop and execute annual business growth plans and forecasts.
• Directly manage a team of Captains and coach broader store staff to drive performance.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards, execute programs, and elevate the athlete experience.
• Lead training initiatives, coach teammates, and create development plans with leaders.
• Plan staffing with Store Manager, approve Captain staffing, and manage payroll and scheduling within budget.
• Drive hiring strategies with Store Manager to recruit and interview teammates; own Captain hiring decisions.
