Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store and assist with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and daily store operations. The role supports the Store Manager by training staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with policies while protecting assets.

You will lead customer service, open/close the store several days per week, handle cash, stock, planograms, and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service leadership and handling inquiries.
• Ability to manage cash handling procedures and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training.
• Manage stock by receiving, stocking, restocking and rotating merchandise; build displays.
