Job summary

NBT in Portland, ME is hiring a Customer Service Specialist to support the Retail division with complex procedural and service requirements through verbal and written communication. You will assist branch personnel, resolve issues, and help customers with banking products.

Qualified candidates have 3 years in customer service or banking operations, a 4-year business degree or equivalent experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in customer service, retail banking and/or financial operations support.
• Four-year degree in business related field or equivalent banking experience preferred.
• Strong communication and understanding of bank products and services.
• Ability to identify problems and analyze information using broad criteria.

Responsibilities

• 50% - Assist Retail team members with problem resolution and advanced operational support.
• 25% - Maintain understanding of bank policies and delivery channels in a fast-paced environment.
• 20% - Collaborate with Retail partners to support initiatives of the retail banking division.
• 5% - Other duties as assigned.
