Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Retail Office Supervisor to lead the front office and administrative operations of the retail store. You will coach the Customer Service team and partner with store leadership to support overall store operations.

You will ensure excellent customer service, accurate order processing, and proper cash handling while maintaining store documentation and reporting. This role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years retail office experience with customer service required; furniture retail preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and time management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain confidentiality and respond professionally to difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Customer Service Representatives to support performance and growth.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated concerns.
• Ensure sales orders are processed accurately and oversee credit applications and financing.
• Follow and enforce cash handling procedures and maintain store documentation.
• Support inventory and loss prevention processes, including receipts, transfers and tagging.
• Create, analyze and distribute daily financial and management reports.
• Open and close the store in rotation and supervise the team when managers are off duty.
• Coordinate and manage employee work and SOP adherence.
• Manage performance through coaching, reviews, and training.
• Make employment decisions related to hiring, transfers, promotions and actions.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records.
• Communicate goals through team meetings and coaching.
• Manage resources to support efficient operations.
