Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets and visual standards, ensuring accurate pricing and timely promotional execution.

You will lead SOP adherence, supervise Ship-from-Store, manage in-stock levels, coordinate staffing with store leadership, and coach a team toward reduced shrink and improved customer readiness.

• 3+ years retail leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Lead SOP adherence and ensure compliance with company programs and laws.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, sustaining floor leadership, service standards and operational continuity.
• Lead truck execution to unload, sort, and flow merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization; align staffing with business needs.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines to drive in-stock and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution to complete merchandising sets on schedule.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and initial product placement.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, product accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant, customer-focused signage and placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across all systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment processes (picking/packing/shipping).
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with accurate documentation.
• Manage store damages procedures to reduce shrink.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and ongoing development.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink and ensure safe operations.
