Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is actively hiring for an experienced full-time Retail Membership Sales Specialist in Waterford, CT. The role focuses on selling memberships, upselling add-ons, and driving engagement through in-store conversations and outbound calls.

Base pay is $20.06 to $25.66 per hour with potential incentive pay and a 37.5 hour work week. Benefits include PTO, 401k, holidays, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least three years of sales and customer service experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple websites and programs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory pre‐ and post‑employment screenings, including criminal, drug, and state/vendor checks.
• Possible requirement to obtain membership licenses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sell and process new AAA memberships, upsell and cross-sell upgrades and add-ons.
• Drive engagement through in-store sales, inquiries, and outbound calls.
• Welcome new members, present promotions, and discuss upgrade opportunities.
• Document leads and interactions accurately for future reference.
• Serve as the go-to person in-store for membership inquiries, providing guidance.
• Back up by assisting in cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services if applicable.
