Job summary

AAA Club Alliance in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a full-time Retail Membership Sales Specialist to drive membership sales in a retail setting. Base pay ranges $18.24–$23.33 per hour with potential incentive earnings and a 37.5-hour week, plus PTO and a rich benefits package.

The role requires greeting customers, upselling memberships, documenting interactions, and serving as the go-to for membership inquiries, with occasional backup in cashiering and related services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of sales and customer service experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with multiple websites and programs.
• Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screenings.
• Ability to obtain necessary Membership license as required.

Responsibilities

• Sell and process new AAA memberships, upsell upgrades and add-ons.
• Drive engagement with members through in-store sales and outbound calls.
• Welcome new members, present promotions and discuss upgrade opportunities.
• Document all leads and interactions accurately for future reference.
• Serve as the in-store go-to person for membership inquiries and support.
• Back-up in cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services if applicable.
