Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. in Nevada is seeking an Assistant Manager in Training (AIT) to gain hands-on leadership experience across store operations.

The role focuses on coaching staff, driving sales, controlling expenses, and optimizing inventory while promoting our in-store promotions and customer service standards. The program emphasizes internal advancement and provides full-time benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a profit-sharing plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Stores require open availability—including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous leadership experience in food service or retail.
• At least 3 months of customer service experience in a retail environment.
• Strong passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude.
• Valid Driver License and reliable transportation preferred.
• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco and able to work around slot machines (NV).
• Ability to foster teamwork and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, attentive service and greet customers.
• Enforce company policies and procedures with staff.
• Suggest purchases and promote store specials.
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of store interior/exterior, displays, and pumps.
• Minimize stockouts by restocking shelves and coolers.
• Assist in training new employees and manage food service programs to maximize sales.
• Prepare daily deposits and assist with weekly supplier orders.
