The successful candidate will enforce SOPs, maintain compliance with gaming regulations, coordinate promotions, and manage vendor relations and purchasing.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees stocking, displaying, and rotation of inventory.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy and pricing; manages POS system and sales reporting.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and maintaining an effective sales staff.
  • Approves schedules and makes staffing changes as needed.
  • Manages entertainment ticket supply and sales.
  • Authorizes overrides for comps and redemptions per company policies.
  • Responsible for payroll approvals.
  • Coordinates promotions and ensures proper advertising (signage, direct mail, inserts).
  • Resolves customer complaints and communicates casino information to retail outlets.
  • Ensures compliance with company rules, confidentiality of customer data, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluates employee performance and conducts reviews.
  • Provides weekly/monthly sales, inventory, and open-to-buy reports.
  • Manages all purchasing activities with vendors, PO creation, budgeting, and stock control.
  • Maintains department appearance and grooming standards.
  • Attends required training and adheres to all rules and regulations.
  • Must maintain a valid gaming license and be available days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Summary:

The Retail manager oversees overall operation and team members of the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort Gift Shop. Responsible for accurate inventory tracking, retail items available and stocked, correct price values and managing the POS system all while delivering top notch guest service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Responsible for keeping all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) current.
  • Oversees and approves all stocking, displaying, and rotating of inventory.
  • Responsible for all hiring, training, and maintaining an effective sales staff.
  • Approves schedules, makes changes as needed.
  • Maintains entertainment ticket supply and sales.
  • Authorizes overrides for comps and/or redemptions per company policies.
  • Responsible for approving payroll.
  • Responsible of coordinating all promotions and all promotions are properly advertised (i.e. signage, direct mail, weekly inserts, etc.).
  • Resolves all customer complaints.
  • Responsible in getting all casino information (i.e. promotions, entertainment, and hours of operations for other outlets) to retail outlets and Retail Hosts.
  • Understands the nature of gaming as it relates to both retail outlets.
  • Ensures that all Retail team members are adhering to all company rules and regulations, including but not limited to confidentiality of customer files and habits, proper distribution of promotional material and entries, proper handling of files and data.
  • Responsible for evaluating all employee performances and reviews.
  • Provides weekly and/or monthly reports on sales, open to buy, inventory, and any other reports deemed necessary.
  • Responsible for all aspects of buying (i.e. meeting with vendors, selection of items, purchase orders, placing orders, budgeting, etc.).
  • Ensures proper department uniform, appearance, and grooming standards are followed.
  • Attends all company required training.
  • Complies with all Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines.
  • Meets company attendance requirements.
  • Required to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned.
