Responsibilities

  • Assist the Slot Department Supervisor to maintain an efficient operation during shift.
  • Monitor and report employee activities to the Slot Department Supervisor.
  • Train new employees for the assigned shift to ensure proper knowledge.
  • Observe activities in Slot Department areas for irregularities.
  • Ensure slot machines function properly and are played legitimately.
  • Shall act as a signatory on jackpots per SOP.
  • Enforce policies on security of monies, parts, equipment, and documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests.

Summary: Assist in the supervision of the Slot Attendants on an assigned shift along with ensuring that the Slot Attendants are providing consistent high levels of customer service. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the IRGC policies and procedures, internal standard operating procedures and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for assisting the Slot Department Supervisor in upholding an efficient Slot operation during an assigned shift.
  • Monitor and report employee activities as necessary to Slot Department Supervisor.
  • Assist in training all new employees to the assigned shift to ensure that these employees receive the proper knowledge to perform their duties at an acceptable level.
  • Observe activities in the Slot Department areas, watching for irregularities.
  • Ensure slot machines are functioning properly and are played legitimately.
  • Assist personnel and monitor breaks ensuring proper coverage and efficient service for guests.
  • Monitor machine payouts, to ensure appropriate amounts are being paid to guests.
  • Shall act as a signatory on jackpots as outlined by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Must know and enforce all policies and procedures regarding the security of monies, parts, equipment, and required documentation.
  • Utilize effective communication to ensure consistent, accurate and timely information is provided through all shifts.
  • Model professional behavior and appearance; ensure compliance with established standards, rules, and regulations of the Slot Department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests and communicate professionally at all times.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Ensure proper department uniform, appearance and grooming standards are followed.
  • Attend all company required training.
  • Comply with Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines.
  • Meet company attendance requirements.
  • May be required to work days, nights weekends and holidays.
  • Delegate assignments to ensure all functions of the shift are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to work the gaming floor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise Lead Slot Attendants, and Slot Attendants.

QUALIFICATIONS

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one-year slot operations leadership experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission License.

SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Must have basic computer skills.
