Job summary

ShopRite of East Windsor is hiring a Store Detective to protect assets and ensure customer safety. You will monitor for theft, assist in investigations, and uphold store security policies.

The role requires vigilance, teamwork, and physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift as part of daily duties. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour, with standard benefits and opportunities to support store safety goals.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and frequent movement.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work well with others and maintain punctual attendance.
• Willingness to travel to multiple store locations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize loss prevention tools to identify and minimize shrink.
• Detect and apprehend theft in a professional manner.
• Represent the company in legal actions as needed.
• Participate in investigations as required by Loss Prevention.
• Maintain store security and protect assets at all times.
• Communicate with Store Management to report issues and policy violations.
