Job summary

ShopRite of Fair Lawn is seeking a Store Detective to help protect store assets and deliver a safe, high-quality customer experience. The role focuses on detecting theft, using loss prevention tools, and maintaining a secure environment across shifts.

Salary ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. The position is part of ShopRite’s commitment to safety, friendliness, and efficient store operations in Fair Lawn, NJ.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Able to stand or walk for long periods during shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Able to work in dusty environments and varying temperatures.
• Willingness to travel to multiple store locations if required.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Capable of working cooperatively with others and maintaining punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Use loss prevention tools to identify and minimize shrink.
• Detect and apprehend theft in a professional manner per policy and law.
• Represent the company in criminal actions after apprehensions.
• Participate in investigations and report vulnerabilities to management.
• Maintain store security and operate shifts with safety and efficiency.
• Assist in training and complete required programs.
